Why do i have the philippines? So many reasons! It’s beautiful, its cheap its easy to get around, the people are lovely, it feels adventerous without losing modern comforts,its easy to feel like you are off the beaten path. And that’s not even mentioning the many awesome beaches or the yummy seafood. Or the fact that so many people speak english

We love it here and have and have had two family vacation in the philippines so far. We look forward to sharing even more in our philippine travel blog as we travel yo the philippines again in future.

We enjoyed all the holiday destinations in the philippines we visited except manila which wasn’t our up of tea. We have two favourites which are our pick for the best family friendly destinations in the philippines (and are also highly recommended as just the best places to go in the philippines even if you don’t have kids!)

•Bohol which is full of fun attraction. •Boracay is just so beautiful and so easy.

We also visited Kalibo Roxas city, Iloilo, Bacolod cebu city and Moalboal!

Eastern Samar

Eastern Samar is province in philippines located in the eastern visayas region. Its capital is the city of borongan . Eastern samar occupies the eastern portion of the island of samar. Bordering the province to the north is the province of norther samar and to the west is samar province. To the east lies the philippines sea, part of the vast pacific acean ,while to the south lies the leyte gulf.

Physical profile samar,one of the six province in region VII (eastern visayas) is in the eastern part of the island of samar. The entire east coast of the province faces the philippines sea that forms part of the pacific ocean. Eastern samar other boundaries are northern samar on the north; samar on the west and on the south with surigao strait. Borongan city the provincial capital, is approximately 550 air-kilometers northeast of tacloban city the regional capital. Eastern samar has total land area of 4,617.2 square kilometers (51.5%) of which are classified as agricultural land subdivided into 22 municipalities and one(1) city. Twenty (20) of these are located along the coasts while (2) are island municipalities.Ther interior part of the province is rough, hilly covered with dense tropical vegetation. The predominance of land with more than 18% slope indicates the mountainous and hilly terrain of the province. These types of land make up 61.35% of the entire area of the province. Eastern samar falls under type II climate that is no dry season with a very pronounced maximum rainfull from november to january between 200 and 2011 the was an increase in the average monthly rainfull 461.1 mm to 580.1 mm making the province mores susceptible to flood and land slide

The total of population of the province is 467,160 persons in about 97,325 household with an annual population growth of 1.64 percent and with a male-female ratio of 108 in 2010. The gross population density of the province is 101 persons per sq. km. of land area, the lowest in Region VIII that has population density of 191.
